Corvid-19 Measures

We follow guidelines for COVID-19 safety by the professional association of swiss dance professionals (see here)

To be allowed to teach these classes we have to keep to some rules for which I need your cooperation. Please read below carefully.

What will be different

  • Classes are 10 minutes shorter to allow for 20 minutes cleaning between each class

  • Dressing up is allowed

  • Each student has their 4m2 space

Please see more on these points below.

10 Minutes shorter classes (except level 6 & 7)

Classes will be 10 minutes shorter mostly to allow for cleaning and airing in between each class (please see adjusted schedule attached)

Also, since the children are only allowed within their 4m2, more than this time will be too much. Of course we will make sure that the class is still fun and the kids are moving lots within their space.

Dressing up

Kids can wear whatever they would like to class only ballet shoes are required.

They can wear a tutu or a princess dress or come in leggings and a t-shirt or just their normal ballet clothes. They are also allowed accessories like tiaras or masks or face paint.

We have to keep to so many rules so we will bring in some fun elements to keep a light environment for the students.

What we are doing:

  • Creating a ballet class that is fun and challenging

  • Cleaning the studio between each class according to guidelines (see attached document)

  • Airing out the studio for minimum 10 minutes between each class

  • Floor markings so each student has their own 4m2 space

  • Removing all barres

  • Providing disinfectant

What we need you to do

Please explain to them:

  • to not touch, hug, kiss other students nor the teacher

  •  to always stay within their square during class

Prepare them:

  • Come in the outfit they will wear for class so they only need to change their shoes

  • make sure they drink water and pee (if possible at home) before class

  • washing hands or disinfect before and after class

  • Come as close to the time as possible: 2-5 minutes early

  • Make sure to arrive before class ends 2-5 minutes early (see adjusted schedule attached)

Spend as Little time as possible in the changing room.

Wait in the corridor so you can keep your distance before and after class.

Ballet Show

The Ballet Show is moved to 30th & 31st of January at Theatre de Marens in Nyon. It will be Sleeping Beauty as originally planned.

What if I want both of my children (different ages) attend the same class?

They can both attend the class that is recommended for the younger siblings.

If possible, often it is better for both siblings to attend the classes that are most appropriate for them. We understand that organizationwise this is sometimes very difficult.

What if none of the times work for us?

Try one level lower. We make sure that every student is challenged in the class.

Also let us know about this and what days and times work for you. If we have enough students at the same level we can open a new class.

How do I sign up for Classes?

Fall 2019

Do I have to commit for the school whole year?

No you do not need to commit for the whole school year but we will assume so unless you tell us otherwise. You can discontinue classes anytime with 30 days notice.

The time I wanted to sign up for did not show up in the sign up calendar but it is in your timetable. Why?

The class is most likely full. Please contact us if no other class works for you.

What to wear to class?
